Reminder for Authors


SCIENTIFIC JOURNAL „YOUNG RESEARCHERS' WORKS“ NOTES FOR CONTRIBUTORS

Articles
Original scientific articles on research results in biomedical, physical, social, technological and the humanities sciences and submitted by young researchers are accepted for publication.

Language
Scientific papers are published in the Lithuanian, English, Russian or other European languages. Texts should correspond to language standards, be checked and edited.

Reviews
Papers will be reviewed by experts appointed by the editorial board. On the basis of evaluation the articles may be returned for revision.

Submission
Submitting the paper the following information should be presented separately: title of the article, name and surname of the author, telephone, e-mail address, field of research, scientific degree, academic title, position. The article should be prepared by Microsoft Word 7, 97, 2000, Times New Roman and laid out on A4 format page with the following margins 2 - 2 - 2 - 2 cm. Length of the article ­- 3-10 pages. The paper should be submitted in a printed version and floppy disk.

Structure of the article
Title (12 pt bold, capital letters); name and surname of the author (11 pt bold ); institution represented and its address (11 pt italic); main text (11 pt); bibliography; summary in Lithuanian/English (10 pt).

Text
The text should have clear and headed parts: introduction stating the aim of the research, research methods; results and discussion; conclusions. Headings not indented (11 pt bold).

Tables
Tables in the text should be numbered and titled, e.g. Table 1. Number of Enterprises per 1000 Inhabitants. The title of the table aligned left.

Pictures
Pictures in the text should be compact, simple to copy, numbered and titled, with explanations and marking. Curves in pictures numbered. The title is given below the picture, e.g. Picture 1. Moderate working capital financing strategy.

Bibliography
A list of references should be provided in their original language and numbered in the cited order. References in the text are given indicating the name of the author and year of publication in brackets, e.g. Petraitis J. (2003). References in texts of biomedical, physical and technological sciences are given indicating the number in the list, e.g. [2]; [5,6]; [2-5]. The list should not include non-cited references.

A list of references should correspond to the following requirements:

a) for books - surname and name initials of the author, year of publication, title, place of publication (city), publishing house, e.g. Petraitis J., 1995, Visatos istorija. Vilnius: Mokslas.

b) for articles – surname and name initials of the author, year of publication, title of the article, title of the journal and its abbreviation, volume, No, first and last pages of the article publication e.g.

Petraitis J., 1996, Supply and Demand. Logistics. Vol. 23, N3. 56-65.
Petraitis J., 2003, Logistikos vieta marketinge. Socialiniai mokslai: Vadyba, 2, 47-55.

c) for conference materials, collections of articles – surname and name initials of the author, year of publication, title of the article, pages in the publication, place of publishing, publishing house, e.g. Petraitis J., 1991, Bendrieji teksto teorijos klausimai. Tekstų analizė: Tarptautinės konferencijos medžiaga. P. 12-15. Šiauliai: Titnagas.

d) for articles in daily papers – surname and name initials of the author, year, month and day of publication, title of the article, title of the paper, page, e.g. Petraitis A., 2003 gruodžio 5, Empirinis intelektas. Dialogas. P.5.

e) for patents – patent No, country, year, e.g. Patentas 730653, Lietuva. 2003.

f) for dissertations – surname and name initials of the author, year, title, title of the scientific work, institution of defence, e.g. Petraitis J., 1997, Emocinių ir socialinių asmenybės bruožų analizė. Daktaro disertacija. Šiaulių universitetas.

g) for Internet addresses – title of the cited source and complete address, e.g. Socialinių įgūdžių ugdymas.www. google.lt.

Summary
Length - up to 0.5 page followed by key words.

Notes
Revised and supplemented articles should be submitted by e-mail or in a floppy disk to the editorial office. Approval for publication is given by the board of editors twice a year by 15 May and 1 October.
