The department was established in September 1, 1985 on the basis of reorganised Departments of Radio Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The department is responsible for studies of electronic engineering students.
It offers the following undergraduate and postgraduate studies:
Full-time studies: - Electronic Engineering, Bachelor's Degree
- Signal Processing, Master's Degre
Part-time studies:
- Electronic Engineering, Bachelor's Degree
Extramural studies:
- Electronic Engineering, Bachelor's Degree
Undergraduates are offered specialised courses in computer engineering, telecommunications, medical electronics.
Fields of research: - Image and video processing for human-computer interaction and production inspection;
- Lithuanian speech synthesis and automatic recognition;
- Design, testing and adjustment of computer communication systems for the disabled;
- Human oculomotor system.
